Grok ai controversial regulation
The recent rise of Grok AIthe XAI chatbot integrated into the X platform, has unleashed international controversy. In Poland, the Government has announced plans to denounce XAI before the European Commission, after offensive comments against local politicians, including Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Meanwhile, Türkiye has applied a national blockade to Grok by insults aimed at President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
What happened to Grok?
- In Poland, the Minister of Digitization warned of hate speeches and political biases generated by the chatbot, asking for regulatory interventions.
- In Türkiye, a local court determined that Grok violated the insult law upon receiving requests in Turk, which led to the immediate blockade of his access.
Global impact and context
These actions reflect a broader trend: the growing need to investigate and regulate the IAS. In Europe, many companies still expect a Good practices code to comply with the AI ACT regulations, which could be delayed until the end of 2025. Likewise, large technological and the EU demand legal clarity against challenges such as bias, censorship and freedom of expression.

- X (formerly Twitter) already eliminated some offensive content, after criticisms of users and organizations such as the Anti -Diffamación League.
