«For us it is a celebration every time we manage to deliver resources, to give financial support to any municipality and generate resources, because that means that there is a population that is being served and we are taking water to its inhabitants, this is a celebration for the government of President Gustavo Petro,» said Garzón Rodríguez.
The first agreement occurred with the mayor of San José de Miranda, Germán Abilio Moreno, for the optimization of the aqueduct system for the urban area of this municipality, which seeks to improve the access of drinking water of the urban and rural population, benefiting 1,049 inhabitants. This project has a value of more than $ 3,159 million, contributed 100 % by the nation.
With the mayor of the municipality of Puerto Parra, eighteen Téllez Cadavid, the second agreement was signed, which consists of the execution of the optimization of the sewerage system of the municipal capital and construction of the wastewater treatment plant of the municipality, a project that will benefit 2,894 inhabitants, thanks to an investment of more than $ 22,476 million.
The third agreement consists of the construction and optimization of combined and storm sewage in the San Cristóbal neighborhood, which will favor 1,053 inhabitants, for a value of $ 5,735 million pesos. This agreement was signed with the mayor of Piedecuesta, Óscar Javier Santos Galvis.
And finally, it was signed with the mayor (e) of Girón, Claudia Jaimes, the Construction Convention of the Proportion Line, Health Sewerage Collector and Optimization of the Sewerage Network of Carrera 26, for the southern sector of this municipality of Santander.
The project aims to improve the capacity and hydraulic functioning of the sewerage system, eliminating bad odors in the environment, guaranteeing the health and sanitation of the current and future population of the area. In addition, it will improve the quality of life of 89,370 inhabitants through a total investment of $ 22,327, of which $ 20,327 are contributed by the nation.
